Famoose Celebrities - The Chocolate Moose from the Muppet Show.

One of my other famoose TV relatives. Although his career was sort of a one shot deal at covering himself, in fame, thanks to the Swedish Chef, he wound up covered in chocolate! He is still to this day trying to get the chocolate out of his coat.

More long distant relatives.

Hi all, I recently received this photo, I believe it is long lost Uncle Milty Moose, who oddly enough was considered the "black sheep" of the family. He cut his ties to the family herd many years ago never to be heard from again. It looks like Uncle Milty met with an unfortunate hunting accident and has just been hanging around a tourist attraction somewhere. He never had a good head for business.

Returning to the herd today...herd members of the week.

Hi, well good news today. My next habitat was being laid out by my owner and what did we find but this fine fellow. He has been absent from the herd for apparently about a year. Where was he, sleeping off last year's Cinco de Mayo celebration, guess he imbibed in too much tequila and hid off to sleep it off.

This straying member is one of a set of Triplets who joined my herd after their rescue from something that people call a "yard sale". Apparently one of the members of the library herd is quite fond of these events. Thankfully she had the good taste to liberate all three of the triplets.

I do have hope that the remaining third member of the triplets will be soon found. Two of them disappeared from my herd awhile back. The second member has been found and reunited and I am hopeful, that one found will lead to the third triple soon to be found.

Herd Member of the Week.

I would like to welcome the newest member of the Moose herd, let me introduce you to Moose Plate. Moose Plate traveled all the way from the wilds of Montana to join up with the herd. MP will be a useful friend to have around in that he or she [not sure how to determine the sex of a plate] can hold many Moose offerings to my people herd.

3 Blind Moose.

I Bet you didn't know that us Moose, occasionally [and always responsibly] enjoy a glass of wine. I can't wait to have a chance to try some of the offerings from the "3 Blind Moose" winery. I thought that I knew everything "moose" in the world but after all my years in the Library I should know better. My thanks to my owner's Aunt for providing him with a couple of bottles of the Merlot and I will report back whether or not we find its bouquet and taste to be "amoosing" or as their motto goes "unmoosetakably good wine!"

Easter Greetings.

Happy Easter to all of my visitors from me and my herd! As you can see, my habitat is quiet festive and colorful this time of year. Always cheers me and my herd mates up with all the colors, plus we get grass and our seasonal visitors the yellow and pink chicks! Sort of like that Great Uncle who stops by to visit the same time of the year each and every year....and yes, my antlers are out for spring cleaning and I am wearing my bunny ears for the time being.

Moose Herd Member of the Week or Who let my dog out????

Meet my herd member, dog. I have wondered just where the heck he's been of late, turns out he is representing the herd proudly in the lobby display case supporting Burbank Reads Marley & Me. Funny, I don't recall him asking permission for a leave of absence from the herd, but I will forgive that transgression and am pleased that he is supporting such a great program. Dog was acquired because of his holiday signage. For certain holidays, you will notice that dog will have a holiday specific sign. Other months he provides a cheery welcome! to all who visit our herd and habitat. Stop by and say hello to dog in the lobby or when he returns to the herd later this month.

Herd Member Spotlight of the Week.

This week's herd member spotlight is my longtime friend "The Moosecow". Moosecow is just that, a combination of Moose and Cow. [What are geneticists going to come up with next?] The Moosecow holds the distinction of being the the orignal member of my herd. He joined so long ago that I don't remember his origins and how he came to join up with me, but he is my most trusted and number 1 sidekick.
